From Fear to Hope: ICL's Fourth Anniversary Celebration
Can you believe it? We're four years old already!
We're gearing up to celebrate the Institute for Change Leaders' Fourth Anniversary on November 12, 2020 and it wouldn't be a party without YOU!
We’re preparing a celebration like no other, including live performances from Comedian Elvira Kurt, host of the game show Spin Off, musical performances from award-winning singer-songwriter Mimi O'Bonsawin, remarks from visual artist and CFL running back Wayne Moore, and the presentation of our second annual Alumni Awards!
We'll also be hosting an up-to-the-minute session on what the results from the 2020 United States election mean for progressive organizers, led by Tim Ellis, a director of field operations for the 2016 and 2020 Bernie Sanders presidential campaigns.
Admission is free! Register today to join us. Attendees are eligible to win one FREE session to our Building Skills for Change workshop (valued at $325) or one of three gift cards valued at $100 each!
Since launching in 2016 we have been hard at work equipping organizers with the skills they need to make social change. Despite the pandemic, 2020 has been a busy year: we’ve trained over 2,000 new activists and formed partnerships with 25 new organizations across Canada and the United States.
Join us to celebrate these accomplishments, get inspired, and have some fun!
LIVE AUCTION
After the 2020 CFL season was cancelled, B.C. Lions running back Wayne Moore used the downtime to explore his long-time love for visual art, express his cultural Jamaican roots and spread positive energy. Moore has generously donated one of his paintings, the Crown, which will be available to purchase during a live auction at the Anniversary Celebration. Join us to make your bid on this incredible piece of art!
